This is the second time I have broken up with oil paint

     I think it's best to tell you though that I have yet again broken up with oil paint.  The deliciously rich and creamy medium, that comes in amazingly yummy colors, has yet again sent me into a state of frustration.   Why?  Well, if you happened to see the video of when I painted the flag you might have noticed that I tend to get covered in paint when I'm painting.   Also, the dry time is exhausting and I am far too impatient for that.  Lastly, the clean up is time consuming.  However, I do still love using oil bars which are handy for adding detail into my paintings.  
     I have tremendous respect for artists who paint with oil exclusively. ​  Who knows maybe someday I'll get back together with oil paints.    But, for now my heart belongs to acrylic and watercolor.  I'm really happy with the paintings I have created in oil.  All of the paintings on this blog are painted using only oil paints.
