That's a Wrap 2018!

I can't believe how fast this year has flown by and I'm sure many of you are feeling the same way!    This has been my fifth year in the art business and it's been amazing!   I have so many reasons to be thankful for this year.

2018 started off with a wonderful art show called "Love Affair" at the Waterfront Shops.   Almost all the shops displayed my artwork from the beginning of February until Valentine's Day.   We donated 20% of the sales to the American Heart Association.   I introduced Heart Cubes and my watercolor sketches for the first time at this show and they were a big hit!

Summer hit and I landed a spot in the Perch booth at the Vail Farmer's Market.  I met so many wonderful people from all over the world there.  Perch is also still selling my artwork in the shop!

Fall arrived with gusto!  I met a college licensing agent who loved my watercolor sketches.   He has colleges across the country that will be selling my watercolor sketches in their bookstores beginning in 2019.   We will be debuting these licensed sketches and print collections at the 2nd "Love Affair" art show on February 1st!  Here's the line up of schools so far:   Kansas University, Kansas State, Oklahoma University, Oklahoma State, Baylor, Creighton, Iowa State, Purdue, Colorado State, Wichita State, SMU, Saint Louis, Emporia State, Pittsburg State.   More to come....

So needless to say my art career is doing a major pivot in 2019. I'll be traveling all over the country to take photos of the iconic campus locations that will capture memories for the students and alumni.

I plan to keep you posted weekly on my blog in 2019.   But for now, I just want to say thank you all so much for believing in me as I pursue my dream of being an artist!

P.S.  If you have favorite images of colleges and you don't mind me doing a watercolor sketch of them for the print collection I'd love to make this a group project!   Please share!
